Biography
Weena Lokuge is an Associate Professor in Civil Engineering at the School of Engineering and affiliated with Centre for Future Materials. Her research areas include construction materials, composite materials, rehabilitation of concrete structures and infrastructure management. She has over 100 research papers in materials/structural engineering areas and has an H index of 22. She has been successful in attracting research grants to USQ including the highly competitive ARC-Industrial Transformation Research Hub and Bush Fire and Natural Hazards CRC indicating her leadership in continuous collaboration with industry partners, national and international universities. She has nine HDR completions so far and currently supervising eight PhD/DPEN students (four as principal supervisor). She completed more than 40 honours and 15 MENS student projects. She is a member of the Institute of Engineers, Australia and a committee member of the Queensland Branch of Concrete Institute of Australia.
