Abstract

The value of collaborative interprofessional practice in health care is recognised on a global scale, as reflected by current national and international health and education
policy. Governments across the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada and Australia have noted the
strengths of teamwork as a mechanism for the delivery of efficient quality health services.
