Abstract | This chapter examines the unique lines in the First Quarto of William Shakespeare's Hamlet (1603), identifying a significant number of lines that rely on puns and images related to the word 'heart' in connection with the character of Corambis. With these lines not being present in the Second Quarto or Folio versions of the play, a case can be made that these unique lines are not the result of inaccurate memory or note-taking. |
