Abstract | The histories that inform the theme 'From Segregation to Assimilation' are the histories of European intervention in Aboriginal peoples' lives since invasion. As such the theme reflects or parallels all Aboriginal histories from the late eighteenth century to the late twentieth century. This comprises a complex history of different peoples, jurisdictions, events and responses. |
