Abstract | This chapter explores the experience of a research dilemma in a study with Saudi students at an Australian university. The dilemma arose when ethical and methodological considerations and restraints came into conflict. Examining this dilemma through the Bakhtinian conceptual lens of dialogic engagement, this chapter suggests that a dialogic approach to research can be one meaningful experience of building capacity, both for the researcher and the researched. |
