Abstract | The nostalgic recollections of those who had lived in India before 1947 heralded a flood of recollections about British India, and developed academic research interest in the colonial experience. This paper further develops the understanding of the Australian relationship with Asia in the era prior to Asian independence by examining the written recorded experience of Australian soldiers in India. |
