Abstract | There are many well established reasons why we need food science to support future food production and development. However, as an education option post-secondary school, many students are not aware of the complexities of the science associated with the field, assuming its ‘easy’ or ‘cooking’. In this presentation we cover many aspects of food science education including sharing the science of food science, development of industry-ready skills in food science graduates and public food science outreach. |
