| Abstract | This volume has brought together a diverse range of conflicts and explored their unfolding within a specific place. How the communication of conflict has been experienced as posited at the outset is seen as being intimately associated with the participants cultural and geographical understandings of place. The manner by which communication patterns have formed and responded to this understanding is revealing of the role of place in the unfolding patterns of conflict. |
