Abstract | With the recent wave of digital disruption and associated transformations, all fields of science,including the built environment, have been affected.Various smart technologies, in line withIndustry 4.0 (SmartTech 4.0), have been introduced to facilitate the digital transformation of thebuilt environment. Consequently, affiliated fields of the built environment, including construction,architecture, urban and regional planning, cities, and the property and real estate industries, haveseen the introduction and adoption of many disruptive technologies to keep up with modern smartinitiatives and SmartTech 4.0 requirements.To assist professionals and practitioners in the built environment domains, includingconstruction, architecture, urban and regional planning, cities, and the property and real estateindustries, this book presents recent studies on advancements in digital technologies and SmartTech4.0 in the built environment space.
