Biography
Dr. Grace Wang is a dedicated academic, clinical researcher, and addiction specialist, currently holding a full-time, continuing position at the University of Southern Queensland's School of Psychology and Wellbeing. She joined the UniSQ in 2022, following a notable tenure at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. Her research focuses on the complex interactions between addiction, mental health, and wellbeing, drawing on interdisciplinary insights from neuroscience, psychology, and computer science.
Dr. Wang’s current projects address a wide range of health-related issues, including the cognitive impacts of substance use and addictive behaviours, barriers to accessing health services, and the application of machine learning to predict addiction and mental health outcomes. Through her integrative and cross-disciplinary approach, Dr. Wang seeks to deepen our understanding of addiction and mental health, with the goal of informing more effective interventions and improving health outcomes for individuals and communities.
Dr. Wang welcomes HDR students who are passionate about improving mental health and addiction outcomes through evidence-based, interdisciplinary research.
