Abstract | The occurrence of aggressive behaviour in hospital is considered common and it is difficult to predict. Despite identifying several contributing factors towards aggressive behaviour in hospital inpatients, it remains difficult to predict, and the consequences can be dramatic. Patients who demonstrate aggressive behaviours in hospital are more likely to have protracted admissions, will require more resources and are likely to have worse overall outcomes compared to non-aggressive patients. |
