Abstract | Telehealth, which includes telemedicine, is the delivery of health care services and the exchange of health care information across distances using telecommunications infrastructure and information technology as an enabler. However, these services are not realised currently to their optimal level due to the lack of a digital stethoscope. This study identified a set of drivers and barriers that influence the uptake of a digital stethoscope at global level as well as transferring its technical concept to a global audience. This is discussed here. |
