Abstract | Mobility in a healthcare environment is critical in delivering quality healthcare services. Furthermore, the use of wireless technology can be critical to job satisfaction and the quality of services delivered by healthcare professionals. Even though technology has been used in healthcare for many decades, the use of wireless technology is only on the verge of getting recognition. As a healthcare environment is sensitive and the possibility of error and risk is high, the use of any new technology can be frustrating and can lead to job dissatisfaction. This research study employed a mix mode methodology to understand the job satisfaction phenomena in the context of wireless technology in the healthcare environment. The results show that job performance is directly related to workload, evidence base practice, quality of care, time management, and clinical processes. Further research is required as this research is limited to single state of Australia. |
