Abstract | A web-based mobile Electrocardiography (m-ECG) decision support system with multi-touch func-tion developed is expected to increase the reliability of diagnosis decision making. m-ECG DSS will improve the overall referral processes and treatments of cardio vascular patients remotely located from physicians by eliminating or minimizing unpredictable elements. The main aim of the project is to develop a cardiac health decision support system (DSS) and transfer ECG data via wireless technology through a mobile phone net-work where it can be read reliably by cardiologists, hospital staff and general practitioners to support cardiac diagnosis. Thus this research develops a web application with multi-touch function support to display 3D multi-layers and to cooperate with web services for transmission of ECG information between patients and carers. Users will have access to the mobile web-based ECG system whether their hand-held device runs An-droid OS, iPhone OS, WM OS or any other multi-touch screen smart phone that connects to the ECG server via a mobile network. Users will be able to view real time data, wherever they are and 24/7. This paper dis-cusses the development of the interface to deliver ECG signals to a multi-touch implementation device. |
