Abstract | The quasi-integration of information systems of different organizations is made possible by Internet technology but the implications for management information systems has received scant attention in the literature. This paper explores the concept of management information systems in a virtual organization. The exploration revealed contextual factors associated with management information systems in a virtual organization. These contextual factors were further explored to determine how they might be addressed. Finally further research that could be conducted is proposed. |
