Abstract

This article offers insights into ways that educators can provide support for migrant, refugee and asylum-seeker children and families. It draws from a study that was conducted to support early years educators’ professional understandings of the experiences of families with refugee and asylum-seeker backgrounds (Taylor-Leech et al., 2023; Tualaulelei et al., 2022), but in previous work, we examined similar issues with Pasifika migrant families (Taylor-Leech & Tualaulelei, 2021; Tualaulelei & Taylor-Leech, 2021). We present key findings and related practical suggestions to help schools and educators support diverse families in their school community.
