Biography
Dr Fahim Ullah is the program director for construction programs and a senior lecturer in construction project management at the School of Surveying and Built Environment (SoSBE), University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Springfield campus, Australia. Dr. Fahim Ullah is amongst the world’s top 2% of research scientists as per the latest Elsevier/Stanford ranking (2024 and 2022). Based on the first publication in 2016, as per the ranking, he is the second-highest performer in Australia and number 1 in Queensland. He is listed among the top 20 global researchers in the building and construction fields.
Since 2024, Dr Ullah has been appointed as the HDR coordinator at SoSBE UniSQ. His previous tenure as a lecturer at UniSQ, in addition to his attainment of a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the School of Built Environment at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia, serves as a testament to his mastery of the discipline. Throughout his academic journey, he has also served as a Casual Lecturer at UNSW, Lead Lecturer at the University of Sydney, and Lecturer at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Pakistan, where he has imparted his wealth of knowledge in the areas of Construction and Project Management to students.
Dr. Fahim's research interests encompass a multitude of topics within the disciplines of Construction Management, Project Management, Smart Cities, Digital Technologies, and Disruptive Innovation, and his contributions to these fields have been widely acknowledged through various research grants and awards for exceptional papers. To date, he has published over 100 research articles of superior quality, delving into subjects such as technology adoption in construction projects, smart cities, real estate, and property. He is currently serving as the associate editor for the journals "Management, Procurement and Law" and "Frontiers in Built Environment." He has also served as publication chair and part of the international scientific committees of CAHEM 2024 China and CONVR2024 Australia conferences. Dr Ullah has actively engaged in editing multiple special issues in Q1 journals pertaining to digital disruptions and industry 4.0 and 5.0 technologies in the built environment.
