Abstract | The High Court of Australia recently referred to the renvoi doctrine in resolving a case brought in Australia by an Australian resident against an Australian defendant company, based on events occurring in China. This article explores the renvoi doctrine and considers whether it should be generally accepted into Australian choice of law rules. |
