| Abstract | This article considers the constitutionality of specific reform proposals to the law of contempt which have been countenanced by Law Reform Commissions in various jurisdictions. Specific constitutional issues include the independence of the judiciary reflected in Chapter III of the Constitution, the Melbourne Corporation principle, and the rule of law. |
