Abstract | Over the last two decades, research in areas of epidemiology, neuroscience and psychology have revealed the high prevalence of child maltreatment in our communities, and its life-long impact on our physical and mental health. This seminar will provide an overview of the impact of child maltreatment on the physical and mental health of children and outline principles of trauma informed care in paediatric physiotherapy. |
