Biography
Dr Lisa Jacka is a senior lecturer at the University of Southern Queensland with over 20 years of experience in education. Lisa has expertise in virtual worlds in education having completed PhD research in this field as she introduced educators to the possibilities of virtual worlds. Her work has been widely published including a sole-authored book in the Routledge Focus series, 6 book chapters, 7 journal articles and numerous conference papers all focusing on the use of virtual worlds and the opportunities for education. In 2015 she was awarded a Vice Chancellor's Citation for innovative design and delivery of online learning experiences that facilitate education students' readiness to teach in learning environments of the future.
