Abstract | [Abstract]: Agile methodologies have the potential to enhance the software development process in a range of application areas, including the aged and community care sector. This pilot case study explores the potential for applying Agile software development methodologies at a typical organization from this sector, and is aimed at raising awareness of these methodologies and their espoused tenets and principles. The approach is taken from the user (customer) perspective, rather than that of the system developer. The study indicates that the ideals of Agile largely match the customer requirements for this application development domain. Further qualitative and quantitative studies will investigate the potential for, and actual use of, Agile methodologies in this sector. |
