Abstract | For customers to adopt business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce, it's imperative that the benefits of using this medium (such as its convenience and decreased transaction costs) significantly outweigh potential and perceived risks. However, a lack of trust when it comes to online payment systems is a real psychological barrier to e-commerce. In the physical marketplace, the transacting partners rely on a number of mechanisms to build security and trust. |
