Abstract | There is a change in the academic and scheduling demands placed on students when they enter high school. This paper will discuss a project which explored the ICT expectations of three local high schools for the year 7 students entering their schools. The high school expectations were mapped to the Education Queensland student ICT expectations for years 6 and 7.The result of the project is a framework for ICT use in year 7 to guide the teacher in planning their teaching and learning in an attempt to reduce the gap between the high school ICT expectations and the knowledge and skills of the students in year 7. |
