Abstract | This paper advances autoethnography as method to enhance awareness of oneself and reflexivity in research-practice. The paper draws upon a contextualist approach and the literature of narrative psychology and narrative research. An overview of autoethnography is provided along with its potential for its application in vocational psychology and career development practice. Implications for reflexivity and critical consciousness are discussed. The author provides a personal example of an evocative approach to autoethnography |
