Abstract | The Life Design International Research Group (Savickas et al., 2009) set an agenda for research and professional training for their intervention model, life-design counselling. Consideration is given to the competencies required for practitioners to perform certain operations that constitute some of the core processes of life-design counselling: construction, deconstruction, reconstruction, and co-construction of client’s stories toward action (Savickas, 2012). Extending beyond the fundamental competencies of career development practice, the enhanced competencies of life design counselling are overviewed, namely the ethic of critical reflexivity and dialogical interpretation. In summary, this chapter articulates conceptual and radical research dimensions of the agenda set by the Life Design International Research Group. |
