Abstract | Despite increased innovations in technology, and improved attitudes of employers to people with disability, only 24% of people with blindness and low vision are in full-time employment. The Vision Australia Certificates in Access Technology delivered online ensure people with blindness and low vision have equitable access to preparation for employment. By participating in these certificates, students are able to develop the skills required to access information, the environment, social interactions and personal wellbeing. This project shows how industry can work with stakeholders to make a difference to future generations. |
