| Abstract | Research abounds with multiple forms of risk, all of which impact on respective researchers with varying degrees of directness and concern. This impact requires researchers to engage in varied ways with these forms of risk, thereby enacting professional decision-making about the mobilisation and/or amelioration of such risks. Yet encounters with risky research are not necessarily straightforward or automatically easy to resolve. Accordingly, we present in this chapter a distillation of the specific strategies elaborated in the preceding chapters that the chapter authors have found helpful in conceptualising and connecting with diverse research risks. This distillation is framed by our synthesis of the preceding authors’ responses to the book’s eight organising questions, which in turn contributes to the broader project of reconstructing researchers at risk |
