Abstract | 1. Purpose of today’s presentation: contributing to the newly developed suite of resources for USQ HDR students and supervisors by considering the impact of supervision on the supervisors. 2. This is important because of the need to recognise that many of the phenomena that we ascribe to HDR students – such as profound change, identity work, imposter syndrome, etc. – apply also to HDR supervisors. 3. This presentation takes the form of a conversation between Yvonne Findlay, who graduated with her PhD from USQ seven months, and Patrick Danaher, who was her principal supervisor for part of her PhD journey. |
