Abstract | This post describes the impetus for the World Alliance for Arts Education (WAAE) Global Summit held in Brisbane in 2014 and the importance of quality art education to promote cultural diversity. The resulting publication from the WAAE Global Sumiit 'The Palgrave Handbook of Global Arts Education' is also described with particular attention to the artwork featuring the Brisbane River created by Peter Murray Djeripi Mulcahy who was the artist in residence during the summit. |
